Snake Day

June 3rd

This year on June 3rd from 12-4 PM we will have our annual Snake Day. This year we want the public to see the diversity of snakes. These creatures come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Moreover, many snakes do not rely on a diet of mice to survive.

The rainbow snake that lives throughout South Georgia eats eels, the red-bellied snake eats slugs, the Eastern ribbon snake eat spiders, and queen snakes eat crayfish. With so many interesting diets of snakes, this year you can learn all about the diet of snakes found in Georgia.

June 3rd, come prepared to visit with experts such as Georgia DNR and Herpetology Society, see a variety of snakes and stay around for crafts, games, and other fun activities. We will have a local barbeque restaurant from Smitty’s Family Restaurant selling food and Kona Ice selling cold treats to help you cool off on this eventful day.

And a special note, we are allowing a pre-registration for Snake Day this year. If you have created an account, please use the following link to buy your tickets.
